Archie is a two-berth Vauxhall Vivaro campervan for hire, perfect for friends and couples to enjoy, providing all of the comfort and cosy evenings you are dreaming of. He’s newly converted, modern and built with the environment in mind. The perfect concept for every outdoor adventurer.

Whether you want to wild camp or enjoy bedding down at a campsite, Archie is the ideal campervan hire choice.

Unlike many other two-berth campervans, Archie is an environmentally-friendly campervan, drawing energy from the solar panels and offering an eco-friendly driving engine mode. We also offer customers the chance to add on our Thetford Porta Potti at checkout, perfectly hidden and discreet in the campervan and the ideal addition for those longer road trip adventures. 

Archie is the perfect budget-friendly, compact and easy to drive campervan to hire. He is perfect for campers who have never driven or stayed in a campervan before; you will feel safe at night time and love the feeling of being out in the wild.

A Little More About Archie

‘Archie’ is a Vauxhall Vivaro van that we at Calico Campers have converted into a compact, easy to drive 2-berth campervan with expert precision. It is a diesel engine with six gears, an eco-driving mode, built-in SatNav and Bluetooth connectivity, air conditioning and a DAB radio. He is a top of the range campervan!

The campervan has steering wheel controls for extra safety whilst driving. ‘Archie’ has three seats in the front and two seat-belted seats in the back. The front seats can safely accommodate a standard baby seat, just if you want to bring the most petite person. Mobile phone charging is also available in the cab via USB charging points.

Who Can Drive Our 2 Berth Campervan?

Our campervan can be driven by anyone aged 23-75 who has up to 6 penalty points with a Class B (‘normal’) driving licence. If you have six or more penalty points on your licence, we may still be able to accept your booking; please just get in touch first.

You can still hire Archie, even if you have more than 6 points on your licence, but we will have to amend our terms and conditions and possibly alter tariffs to accommodate.

Our campervan hire rates include one driver’s free motor and breakdown insurance cover. However, we allow up to two drivers per hire in ‘Archie’, at a small additional cost.

Customers do not have to arrange their motor insurance to drive a Calico Campers campervan. However, we advise all campers to take out travel insurance.

What Will You Find On The Inside?

Archie is our most popular campervan for hire; it is perfect for couples looking for a romantic weekend away or even a honeymoon; imagine the places you can go! Or maybe you fancy grabbing a friend and having a BBQ and marshmallow toasting night under the stars? Archie is perfect for both!

Here at Calico Campers, we offer a 2-berth Vauxhall Vivaro campervan. It comes with an electric hook up as standard. It operates a 12V battery that, unlike most other campervans, is also charged by the rooftop solar panels, making our 2-berth campervan an environmentally sound choice.
